Do I need to make a reservation to visit ICEBAR ISTANBUL?

We highly recommended you make a reservation as we often get fully booked, especially in weekends.

What happens if I just turn up on the day?

We will do our best to accommodate you; however we can’t guarantee entrance as ICEBAR ISTANBUL has a strict 50 person capacity and sometimes sessions do sell out in advance, especially at weekends.

Do I have to pay in advance?

Yes, we require full pre-payment at the time of booking.

Can I make a provisional booking?

No, unfortunately we do not take provisional reservations.

I’m not sure what time I’d like to book and I can’t confirm numbers just yet….

We know it can be difficult to get your friends to commit, but we do need a definite time and number of guests from you to make a booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

Unfortunately we can not offer refund.

Can I increase my reservation size?

Yes, depending on remaining availability.

I would like to book for 25 people or more?

Can I move my reservation to a different time and date?

Yes so long as there is availability.

Do you offer any group or student discounts?

We currently do not currently offer discounts in either ICEBAR ISTANBUL. We do run special offers from time to time though; give us a call to find out more.

What can you do for birthdays and other special occasions?

We do not allow any food, fire or helium inside ICEBAR ISTANBUL which unfortunately rules out cakes, candles & balloons! The ICEBAR ISTANBUL experience is so novel and sensuous that it is a special occasion in itself.

Your website won’t let me book more than 28 days in advance – can I do this over the phone?

No, both the online reservation system and the reservations team only take bookings 28 days in advance.

I didn’t receive my email confirmation – have I got a reservation?

You probably do, but as our confirmation emails are automated they will sometimes bounce back or get caught in your email junk folder. If you want to double-check then call us to confirm your reservation.

The internet says you can only book for 25 people – is this correct?

Yes, but we prefer to talk to any guests wishing to book for large groups; this really does help avoid any miscommunication. We are more than happy to take bookings for parties of up to / more than 25 over the phone.

Where are you located and what’s the nearest station?

Icebar Istanbul is located in Windowist Tower right at the Maslak Metro Plazalar exit accross the junction of Sarıyer-Istinye along the Eski Büyükdere Street.

What is the dress code?

Our dress code is smart-casual.

Do I need to bring my email confirmation?

No, just tell us the name your reservation was made under when you arrive at reception.

What happens if I arrive late?

All ICEBAR ISTANBUL sessions run for 45 minutes. Tickets are non-refundable if you miss your session. If you know in advance that you will not be able to make your reservation time, please call us to try and arrange an alternate time to avoid losing your deposit.

Do I need to dress especially warmly?

No, we provide you with thermal capes and mittens which you wear over your regular clothes. Most people find this to be enough protection from the -5 C temperature, however if you feel you are extra sensitive to the cold then you may wish to wear a warm outfit or bring an extra layer. Don’t forget, being cold is part of the fun!

Can we take photographs inside ICEBAR ISTANBUL?

Yes, you can snap away as long as the ICY photos are for personal use and not for publication. We would like to see your ICY photos on icebarist.com , so please upload your ICY photos at "upload your ICY photos" link in frontpage.

Can I stay in there for longer than 45 minutes?

You are more than welcome to purchase another ticket to join us for a second session, providing the next time session is not fully booked.

Can we eat inside ICEBAR ISTANBUL?

No, ICEBAR ISTANBUL is strictly a drinks-only bar; no food is allowed inside. Only ICEBAR ISTANBUL drinks can be consumed in the bar. We do however have our own restaurant on the upper ground floor. Simply enquire with our reservations team on +90 212 214 73 33 for GEZi iSTANBUL MASLAK.

Can I smoke inside the bar?

No, we are a non-smoking venue.

Is ICEBAR ISTANBUL open all year round?

Yes, ICEBAR ISTANBUL is open whole year other than sundays. We shut for a week once a year for our annual rebuild.

Do you have a dance floor?

No, there is music in ICEBAR ISTANBUL but it is a bar not a club.

I’d like to book a table in ICEBAR ISTANBUL.

Please note, ICEBAR ISTANBUL is a standing-only bar and there are no tables.

Is the floor made of ice? Can I wear heels inside the bar?

No, the floor is made of non-slip metal.

Is it ok to enter the bar when you’re pregnant?

Yes, there are no health risks to pregnant women.

Can I keep the ice glass?

The ice glass will not last long outside of ICEBAR ISTANBUL as it will melt! Ice glasses are not permitted in any other area of our venue as they will drip.

What is your age policy? Can children enter ICEBAR ISTANBUL?

Minors are welcome to join us in the daytime sessions (last entry at 18:30) when accompanied by an adult; after that the age limit is strictly 18 and older. Valid ID may be required. We have a few smaller capes suitable for children, however we do not have capes small enough for babies and toddlers; if you wish to bring very little people into ICEBAR ISTANBUL with you please ensure you dress them suitably for the cold.
